Someone within the CBC organization should inform Rosemary Barton that the word "ask" is a verb, not a noun as in her sentence containing the phrase "make an ask" rather than the correct phrase "make a request". Ask always was a verb, currently is a verb and likely will always be a verb.
Thanking in advance to whomever takes up this opportunity to correct Rosemary's grammar.
