C'mon guys...!!! This episode, although I just heard of the new Dexter and wasn't really looking forward to it, was an absolute disappointment. First off, Dexter has been abstinent for ten years, we could have waited for the first kill after some flashbacks about his new life. You know, character development and all. We all would be wondering what happened to Hannah and his son after ten years, that could have been a point of tension saved for a later episode. Perhaps with Dexter making the first move to find his son..I dunno. The killing of his subjects was less important than the character development in the previous series. It seems the new writers think this audience just wants to see some formulaic ritual killings. They don't get us. That dude he killed could have also been saved for a later episode, I didn't like him, you could have made me hate him after a few episodes and made his killing a more savored and celebratory moment for Dexter getting his groove back, if you know what I mean.
