Thought the special effects and visuals were great, but it took a while before i really engaged with the story, pacing, and voice over narration.
By the end I realized it was really Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" set in space (much like Coppolla's "Apocalypse Now" was Heart of Darkness set in Vietnam) - at which point i decided i loved this movie.
