If you liked the 1996 Twister film, you'll probably like this, though there's no direct connection between them, apart from people chasing tornados. It ain't highbrow culture and the science is quite a stretch at times, but it's a good old-fashioned disaster movie, with some good acting, great action and a few good lines. Definitely above average for the genre. I enjoyed it

I'll add my two pennies' worth to many worthier reviews here. I really enjoyed it. It's a lush production full of nuanced performances not least from the lead. Settle back with a glass of wine and enjoy the style, understated dialogue, and warmth of friendship in these troubled times. And if, after the first episode you can't see what the fuss is about, give it another chance by watching at least one more. I don't think you'll regret it.

It's good but not as good as some reviews make out. Yes, GH uses some very innovative story-telling techniques, and there are some first-rate performances, but the plot has holes a sumo wrestler could comfortably walk through, and things sometimes get plain silly. However, the biggest problem is with the action, which plods along in the second half. GH needs someone to edit it with a samurai sword to reduce the flabbiness in several episodes. In fact, in my opinion, the serial could be reduced by two episodes at least.

Gave up after four-and-half episodes. The main protagonist is so obnoxious that is very hard to root for him or care what happens to him.
