The only reason I dropped a star for this movie is simply too much of a good thing in anything gets a bit blah. That aside, The Substance keeps you on your toes (gruesome toes) and Demi Moore is outstanding! Her ability to walk you through a terrifying couple of hours is incredible. Her approach allows the symbolic meaning to drape over you with little effort. Demi deserves a real standing ovation for this one. Brill!

A typical on the edge of your seat action packed disaster flick. Nothing fancy in the plot line or dialogue but simple easy to watch unfolding drama after drama. Worth a trip to the cinema? Definitely.
