One of the best Anthology films of recent times. The society’s idea of honour,pride, caste & its influence on relationships and also all terrors against women are clearly shown in various ways. 1. Thangam (dark/drama): Kalidas and shanthanu pulled a stellar performance .Specially kalidas acting was heart touching. Sudha never ceases to impress whatever might be the genre. 2. Love pana utranum (thriller/dark comedy): It had it laughter moments.Though Anjali was a perfect cast for this,kalki koechlin needs a much stronger script and character. And vignesh sivan’s semi humorous film will give you a break from all the rest stories. So watch it last. 3. Vaanmagal (dark drama) : Firstly better Casting .This one shows how a family must or will react to an ugly incident to one of their child daughters. As a brother(aditya baskar),mother (simran) and father(GVM) reaction towards the incident is really well directed. Well GVM can direct one like this too. 4. Oor Iravu(Intense dark) : This one will move your heart and if you dont feel good after first 3,This is like the last stage of a saw movie. Sai pallavi’s performance is a treat to watch .Are there really people like prakash raj from movie. Yeah there are . The way he sits in the pial after killing his daughter and the fact of him being okay is a fitful end for title paava kadaigal. My personal fav is Oor Iravu: you can’t direct a better dark subject movie about honour killing Better than this This guy is just amazing. Vetrimaran 👏👏 One line: Strictly not for light hearted and not for optimistic people.
