Okay, so I rewatched the first and second episode before the third came out and was starting to warm up to the series. Yes, i do not like the way they made the show, which is more fantasy/medieval rather than Witchery, and lore magic, but I was starting to like the show as its own show, rather then comparing it to the Originals.
But that was ruined by the god-awful, third episode. Okay, the first no-no was the spider demon thingy, but the thing that got me was the writing. Spoiler alert! So the demon thing got to Dana, and then she started puking her literal guts up in front of the second-hand gang of supernatural misfits, and Hope was shouting at Dana all like "Dana! Dana!" as if the poor girl wasn't squirting blood like a menstruating 40 year-old who can't stop sneezing.
It's also like the person who is writing this has never met a real teenager. Because bipolar Barbie kept saying "Because thats what a hero does." like, no, this isn't Supergirl, put away your cape and stop pushing your chest out so much, you're gonna hurt yourself, this is Legacies, a show that isn't living up to its predecessors.
I don't understand why they made it so flashy, it feels like they directed this at a younger audience, even though they showed Hope snapping a mouses neck to do dark magic. Why couldn't they just have kept it dark like TVD and TO, it's not that hard to come up with a new enemy every season.
