Magic D

I thought this film was beautiful and I appreciated the build up to war. As a character Mulan is a little too good at everything from the start, I will concede to the hypercritical on this. However, if you know the actual legend and enjoy strong female heroes and villains alike, the character arc is very satisfying. If you enjoy the film without focusing too much on the lack of songs or Eddie Murphy it is a great flick. The colors are rich and the story seems respectful to the legend while still enthusiastic about feminist themes and the thrill of battle.
