I have been watching Heartland for the past couple weeks. I like the show, but there are aspects that bother me. It seems the script is written to not hold the women in the show accountable. When they do the same thing that they get upset with their partner about they just say sorry and all is supposed to be forgiven immediately. However, the men have to grovel for the same offense. This is especially true for Lou. She is selfish, neurotic, hypocritical, and controlling. She does whatever she wants and expects the others to just fall in line with her mess. Tim is an arrogant, immature, fool who only cares about money. Every now and then you see a caring side, but not enough. I love Jack, he is a steady presence in the chaos. I love both Ty and Amy; however, Amy is naive and makes reckless decisions that she expects her family to help her fix. Some aspects of the show are realistic but other aspects are just really far fetched.
