I think the launch of a teaser itself by the renowned and intellectual film authors Zoya Akthar and Reema Kagti can excite a cinephile like me with lot of good vibes and happiness of different level. To my treat came Gully boy followed by Made in Heaven, an Amazon Prime web television series this week.
The directional spectrum submitted by this power team with brilliant actors fitting right into the characters make it prodigious.
Made in Heaven takes us through pages of anthologies and showcases the intolerable hypocrisy by the elites of Indian families. All the chapters are covered with luxury and I think it was well pleasing.
The protagonists of the series are two good friends cum wedding planners who will take us around invited to all the weddings in a total of 9 episodes. The melodrama, superiority complex, arrogance and need for acceptance and to be loved, betrayal, lust and middle class mistaken morals make this perfect for the so called progressive audience. The essence of this series is nothing different than Dil Dhadakne Do and ZNMD. The beautiful portrayal of an intense childhood gay romance makes the content even more worth watching. There is a piece of each one of us in the characters.
I surely loved every bit and waiting for the second season and my favourite was Jim Sarbh ;)
Ps : Finished watching all the 9 episodes of the season on the release date :P
