Sasquatch Timemachine

Well, I was an adult when the books started coming out, and never even heard of them till now, but I found the series very entertaining and binge-worthy. I definitely wouldn't class this as a "teen" drama/thriller, and those who can compare it to the books generally agree the series is darker than the source material. Besides the fact that Alex is a bit older than the 14yo of the novels, you know from the first scene they aren't going to be shying away from death, and there is plenty of that in this first season. While the storylines in the books are apparently very fast-paced, I wouldn't call this drawn-out, and rather than relying on the dizzying array of gadgets his counterpart uses, this Alex is just a very bright kid with some mad skills. So if you're after some enjoyable escapism with mystery and action, ignore the opinions/reviews of the easily-bored and glass-half-empty mob (you can't be a "critic" these days without criticising the hell out of everything, apparently), and give this a go!

Brilliant. Gripping sci-fi/espionage drama for the thinking person.

Well, that ended up more entertaining and addictive than I thought it would be! I totally binged that over 2 days, which is rare for me. I'm unfamiliar with the source material, but I found it to be a great blend of dark fantasy and family drama.

Well that was FUN! A very exhilarating ride, and a good way to unwind for 1.5 hours. And I have to say a lot of the fight scenes were the most inventive and entertaining I've seen. People looking for deep-and-meaningfuls, or are way too serious to realise the ridiculous brutality is tongue-in-cheek, don't bother - your type isn't satisfied unless you're nitpicking and generally too distracted by finding fault to enjoy anything, let alone this Action-meets-Black-Comedy gem. Seems you can't be a "critic" without CRITICising everything these days...

BRILLIANT! While obviously heavily feminocentric, any guy with a brain and social-conscience can get into this. The script and acting are superb. And the recreation of the early-mid '70s is flawless.

BRILLIANT. Great quirky adult-oriented drama for the modern thinking audience. Plenty of twists and turns in this gem, and as much dark humour as confronting stuff. And the finale is PRICELESS!

That was a sweet - and sometimes brutal! - beginning to this long-awaited series. Glad to see it looks like they're staying with the more modern/adult-oriented feel that started with "Star Trek: Discovery", and that it will be a "microseries" (ongoing story, rather than episodic).

A brilliant, thought-provoking series, with a trippy plot, intense action, great acting and stunning visuals. Not everyone is going to get this, so if you can't handle your brain being challenged, give this a miss. But if you love imaginative, mind-bending sci-fi drama, this might be for you. Personally, I think it's one of the top shows of 2022. And 2032. And 2099.

I've seen a bit of "This show is STUPID... because I don't understand it" (the irony of which is delicious and hilarious!) but I think this thought-provoking and entertaining series is a gem, and a worthy continuation from the movie (which you don't need to have seen, as they give you enough of the back-story [and, let's face it, the movie being done in that brooding, arty '70s style made it a tad tedious]). Great acting, compelling plot, and exquisite visuals make this one of the must-see shows of 2022.

It simply is an outstanding achievement in bringing an alternate history to life. Some people here seem more concerned about the politics of it: it's too "woke", they're offended by women being in the space program, are appalled by Mexicans working for NASA, or they're on the other side and see it as too sexist and accuse it of "de-Nazifying" history. Then you have those with an extremely short attention span who find it boring, and even - this next one truly boggles the mind - those who say "history didn't happen this way!!" (yes, and they even put it here for the world to see). But for the bright of mind, for those hungry to explore "what if... ?", who have the attention span to delve into the lives of the well-crafted characters, and the ability to leave your political beliefs outside the front door, YOU WILL LOVE THIS SHOW!
