I didn’t even finish the third episode before I Googled “behind her eyes director” and, yup. It is a man. It’s too predictable and uninteresting. Blah. Seen ‘the take’ so many times.
I’m ready for variety. It’s like watching a spaghetti western when you watch male directed stuff. We’ve viewed the world through this lens so. many. damn. times. Show me something new.
I watched Power of the Dog and it never occurred to me to Google the director until I was writing this review a month later. It was fresh yet still a strong male centered movie. Behind Her Eyes just felt tired.
