Would want to give a zero if possible. Well watched it only for Lee Min Ho but sadly his excellent performance is of no use in terms of such a bad story. Story line - though novel based it is biased towards the female lead. Too many characters shown with overlapping scenes creating choas and as others have mentioned lack of subtitles for several scenes. While trying to portray the downtrodden the writer simply messes up with the other groups of people who are only shown to lack ethics and morals which is again is one sided. Colonizations have impacted entire world not just Korea or Japan so human emotions in troubled times and depiction of relationships between well off and poor should have been done with utmost care rather than simply making an officer a villan and pastor a noble. The lead does not take any time to jump from one man to another feels quite disturbing for assuming her to be an ideal lady. Extremely poor story though I understand it's picked from the novel. Costumes - as mentioned by one reviewer it's pathetic don't feel like it's 1900 Direction - Sadly could have been much better, scenes are unrelated and unnecessary at times. And social scenario depiction is completely lost or merged into 21st century where the actress (Sunja) does not even feel worried that an officer of higher stature is trying to wash clothes with her or is lazing around with her . Her thoughts or actions of being egoistic or not caring about the then social norms to be respectful and maintain distance from the superiors is nowhere shown . As a normal viewer I still don't understand how a women could be so carefree and still shown to be respectful or responsible either of which I don't see from the character depicted. All that I could understand is she is jealous of other well off girls around and only craves to get things wrong or right even without any caution (kind of feel she is more weak and timid)

Showing first wife in negative shade or wrong perspective just to prove the second wife is great seems to be the trend. The lead character insults the mother-in-law just because she tries to save her daughter's married life from another woman. The second wife is said to be extremely polite and good natured not hurting anyone but all that she does throughout is trying to grab attention of the husband which inturn hurts every member at home. Worst of all is she just argues rudely with everyone the first wife's mom in law in particular and tries to prove she is right though she has already disturbed family peace (what makers will need to understand is irrespective of circumstances the second marriage has ruined the life for the first wife and they should learn to respect every women character instead of showing them in wrong light to prove one character is correct)

Two stars because of negative potrayal of Akbar and unwanted scenes of Meera bai and monkey scenes invading Akbar's fort ; giving too many opportunities for the villan character to survive unlike the real world where the king would have punished them then and there itself .Else would have surely given 5 stars. Jaiwanta Bai and Uday Sing characters have been played excellent by Rajshree Thakur and Shakti Anand . Rajput culture has been picturized perfectly and excellent costume designs. Maharana Pratap character was well managed though , Ajabde character selection should have been better. The war scenes are shown predominantly which is good considering this is a historical series. Overall can suggest it as worth watching specifically for the excellent showcase of rajput kingdom and their cultural practices ,also brilliant performance by the entire cast.

Only best part of the show is Rajat Tokas acting. Rajat and Shweta Basu chemistry. Rest everything is out of place - unacceptable situations of the queen being so scared of another queen and pleading for advice from step mother who has always been cunning to her , instability in the character of Nandini who does not have any self-respect and simply obliges to go out of palace or come back to palace as and when someone asks her to and everytime she seems to be slipping down and falling into the arms of King (wonder what would happen if king wasn't there ) . More of rubbish is turning the character of Chaya and Mura into villan against Nandini . Sudden removal of important characters like Nandini's mother and her family and adding all new characters of second generation brings down the series to useless one on the list. And no much space for lead characters to show the actual interests they have for each other only aggressive and quarreling scenes are there through out. The series is based on Chandra and Nandini but unnecessary inclusion of Bindusara in every dialogue and scene is too boring and diverts off the main track. There was so much scope of scripting the scenes throughout but none was seen all that could be seen was a rush to complete the series. Hope there is a better version of this made in future days to come

The Greek part is made excellent mainly because of the character of Alexander (Rohit Purohit has done a great job ) . Porus story does not seem to be anywhere close to reality as the king and kingdom have been made over dramatic and is not worth watching even in terms of historical entertainment show. Character selection for porus and his wife should have been better as they don't have features befitting king and queen. Having invested huge budget there needs to be more accuracy towards historical facts (and reduction of bollywood drama) as rarely we have such huge budget shows being made . The blue themed sets are appealing and so are the costumes. Alexander is made a villian only to show porus in positive light which does not make sense as Alexander was a great conqueror ,ruler and strategist and reducing him to mere villian reduces the weitage for the teleseries. Would only recommend the Greek part of the series to be watched as it's made really well inspite of some drawbacks.
