I think this drama was destined to bring it's actors to instant stardom just like what happened in Meteor Garden (Taiwan version). Seems like all the actors were handpicked for their role, it was just a perfect casting. This was the first drama I have watched where all the actors were a feast to the eyes and also the first drama wherein I sympathized with and understood the villains (except for one, of course). The author of the novel did a masterpiece and the scriptwriter was a genius - perfectly modifying the BL theme to bromance, and the director had cunningly projected the relationships of the characters, dropping subtle hints for the BL fandom of the original novel yet was discreet enough to pass Chinese censorship. I don't know what it is about the story that had me hooked, but once you start, you can't seem to stop falling in love with the drama. It had a beautiful ending, all the questions were answered, yet it left an empty hole in my heart and made me wish there would be more. Definitely one of the best CDramas that I have ever watched and would repeatedly watch all over again!
