Their thoughts & life complications all told from Nazi and post ww2 to the present (1980s) east Germany and to the fall of the Brandenburg Gate & the ‘unification. Fab writer👊🏻

Travel from Ohio, to Pennsylvania and upstate NY to Kansas & eventually Harper’s Ferry. Fascinating history of America & Americans at a time when many approved of and brutalized & owned other humans, including blacks & the Irish.

Outstanding stories by master Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. After seeing the US academy award-winning Best International Film , “Drive my Car”, I sought out this book that contains 4 stories upon which the film was based: “Drive my Car”, “Kino”, “Scheherazade” and “Samsa in Love” with the title character based on Kafka’s 1915 novel, “Metamorphosis . How the screenwriters & movie makers derived this awesome, memorable and moving film from Murakami’s writing is sheer genius. Seethe movie. Read this book!👊🏻
