This show is supposedly about the Rise of the Ottoman Empire yet it seems majority of the episode minutes are spent glorifying Giovanni Giustiniani, someone fighting for the Romans (not to mention his motive for fighting against the Turks is his own personal monetary interests).
A seperate show should've been made if it were necessary to glorify Giustiniani. On the other hand. Mehmet II is often portrayed as ominous and unnecessarily aggressive. The humane side of his army is not portrayed at all in the drama side of the show, while the suffering of the Romans in Constantinople is everpresent.
The point is that both sides suffered in this siege, but why is a show about one of the greatest conquerers in the world barely about him? The anti-Islamic bias is so obvious.
