So a movie about manly men who are white, and heterosexual, probably Christian-leaning too. That ought to almost be illegal nowadays, how could the SJW Thought Police allow this? Inclusivity and Diversity is strength, thankfully itโs not all white saviors so farce is allowed to continue; never mind that reality is contrarian. While awaiting the all-female remake of Saving Private Ryan, I was stuck watching this explosion-fest. The real story is more special than what could be captured on screen, biggest question being, how can you tell this story? Definitely not the way they did, repetitive call for fire missions. Hemsworthโs innate arrogance fills the screen, though not unheard of, some of these operators are quiet professionals, others are still d-bags despite years of training, though thatโs more common to Seals than Army. The Afghan general was excellently portrayed, contradictions and all. Loved the scene where Taliban executed mother in front of daughters for having educated them- though thereโs no womenโs marches against the merciless cruelty enacted upon women in large parts of the world, this needs to be reminded to our comfortable hypocrites at home. It was 5/10, could have added a scene or two on families and wives back home, as they pay a heavy price for the fun Soldiers get to have, letโs be honest.
