The Silent Sea is superb SciFi on the level of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey or Ridley Scott's Alien. Stunning CGI effects, original storyline - the Earth has become a desert so there is a mission to the research facility on the moon to get samples. The suspense is literally jaw dropping. This is also so beautifully filmed. Fabulous CGI and sweeping scenery create the moon's stark, lonely landscape like we are visitors along side the crew. The acting is riveting from Bae Doona (Sense 8, Kingdom) as we see her unraveling the mystery and Gong Yoo (Squid Game). I loved this original vision and complete step away from our typical Hollywood films. Bravo!
