This movie should provoke all men (and women who bear with and support such injustice especially in our Malayalee community) to do an introspection into their treatment of and mindset towards their spouse. The men decide and decree the limits for what a woman can dream or desire to be. They sanctify only those women who have a self-effacing and sacrificing nature towards their husband, his parents and their children. Anything that the woman aspires to do or achieve for her own recognition, with the backing of her good education or talent, is snubbed down. Also, a woman who stands upright and voices herself against such treatment is regarded as an outcast from society.

Spectacular acting chops from both Vijays. A full-fledged thriller mostly sticking to credibility regarding the unfolding of events and with no overly dramatic performance from both the hero and the villain. At the end one is left empathizing with both Vijays in equal measure!

This is a periodical movie relating to a myth of Palakkad. The respective roles have been best portrayed by the stellar casting comprising MohanLal, Manju, and Prakash Raj. Their performance makes the movie gripping throughout. Special mention of the too cute looks of Mohan Lal in the younger role, gorgeous-appearing Manju, picturesque locations, best cinematography. The only negative point, if at all, is that the last fight sequence is dragging, like in Puli Murugan!

Superlative performance by all the cast! Very good and thrilling suspense storyline...
