Steins;Gate is something more than a masterpiece. It is the greatest science fiction anime series to ever air on television. First of all, though there is a lot the criticism for the pacing of the first half, let me assure you all that Steins;Gate would not have been that effective as it is without the "slow paced" first half. That is where we get emotionally attached with the characters, and that is also where the series builds up itself for the events of the second half. Steins;Gate takes the audience through a wonderfully crafted roller-coaster of emotions. Once, you make it through the first 11 episodes, you will find Steins Gate extremely intense, and tragic at times. There are numerous plot twists and sometimes, mystery., and a sense of tension throughout. To be honest, I didn't find the first half boring because I like slice of life vibes just as much as I like the thriller and mystery genre. Also, the first half is more mystery based, while the second half includes suspense, mystery, and tragedy. I swear Steins gate is worth your time.
