This book so resonates with my back ground. I grew up in The Netherlands, Friesland, to be exact. Although born after the war, I would question my parents often about it, but they were short about the subject and I soon realized, they did not like to talk about it.
My sister "Wilhelmina", much admired Audrey, and cut outs were collected and pasted in a book, which I liked to look through.
We never knew about her life during the war, connection with Anne Frank and her family and her uncle, she so adored, being executed by the Nazis.
I encourage everyone to read this story of bravery and hardship, it is so "telling", I am certain, this will be considered to be made into a movie presentation.
