The thing that annoyed me about this series is that real life doesn't work like that. For one not everyone has a plethora of people willing to help over and over and over again. There are people out here who are truly alone. One thing I don't agree with in regards to the negative reviews of this is questioning her not wanting to date Nate. Maybe she wasn't in to Nate. Maybe she didn't find Nate attractive in one way or another, or she just didn't want to deal with men considering the toxic relationship she just got out of. He's divorced with a toddler even though he's supposed to be this great guy. She doesn't know why he was divorced raising his son alone.. She didn't want to feel like she had to sleep with him or date him in exchange for him helping her. She already said that in the series so I don't understand why people are questioning that. Nate all but said that he doesn't appreciate helping her out and not getting anything in return. I'm glad she didn't sleep with him for the sake of him being a nice guy who helped her out. The same people who are mentioning her being pretty and that there's no reason why she should have done a job like that...... that's implying that she should have been able and willing to date/sleep her way out of poverty or do some type of job where she could use her looks. So I think that kind of rhetoric coming from women is questionable. Its hard to be pretty and to have men constantly approaching you under the guise of help.
