Lovely scenery. Venice cannot help but be beautiful to look at. Film is dreadful, the acting is shallow and all the characters deliver their lines in the same breathy style beloved of the current batch of over hyped US offerings. My advice would be to turn off your TV and buy a

Probably the most insensitive piece of broadcasting in a long time. Gross and in extremely bad taste for middle evening Sunday night, especially with so many shocking news stories presently.
More suited to channel four where outrage seems to be their speciality.

Terrible script. Clichéd characters, no subtlety or nuance. Try the original with Roy Marsden, and better still, read the book. Superb.
