The raw emotions in the series makes it difficult to watch at least emotionally. The authenticity of the conversations, the reality of it all allows you to empathize to all the weaknesses of the characters; it can be mistaken as justifying the infidelities and glorifying the loose morals of the mistresses. While the objective of the writer (I think) really is to show how fragile human love is and how much work married life is. Judging them will be futile. Everyone seems to be a victim and villain in their own ways. The wife of the professor at the onset seems a true martyr, a true friend an almost perfect mother. Look deeper, she is teaching her children to be a doormat. The only real obvious villain for me is the stepmom! Geez!! The parents of the lawyer, I love them. And I love the way the wife took back her power in the relationship! Girl power grandma! The long conversations though is a drag! I think ita done intentionally to promote the gastro-cultural side of Korea. The food looks delicious...all of them! 🥰😍😄

Relevant. Helps you grasp the opposing theological stand of the Catholic church (absolutism - to help anchor our faith in one reference point, relativism - everything is relative including God). Witty. I love the scholarly argument the two constantly have. The obvious passion of the Argentenian priest rooted on the pains from an era of militia rule. The Pope a German very reserved by nature, distant, a technocrat, nevertheless, committed to the theology and dogma of his church. 2 Popes both passionate and commited to their faith and God's call. Their approach totally different with the same aim... to unify the Catholic church on one path to holiness. Eventually, they found a common ground and even watched the world cup as their national teams faced each other in the finals. There is nothing not to love in this movie. Historically accurate or not. I love it. Love it. Love it. 😍

Alternative.. my word for this movie. Like the alternative medicines Cassie sells in the movie 😁. Movies nowadays are sooo mind blowing the stimulation is just too much. I love this series, for the no non sense drama in how the characters face their daily struggles. Most of all I just love the women dress up, sometimes can be too much i.e. cassie with her broomstick sweeping the frontyard of grey house in high heels 🤔🤔😂.. But i dont think these details are the objective of the creator, anyway, it gave me a good laugh. And i looooooveeee the middleton town, a mayor walking around alone? No bodyguards or PAs to shove around??...i miss that idea of living in such a close knit community where when you run out of salt or sugar you go running to your neighbor to borrow some.. Or a community doctor for that matter.. Its not an ENDGAME avengers type of stimulation. Nevertheless, its worth my time to keep watching it.
