Val Brightwell

I personally was really disappointed. I’v always held Elton in great esteem but this movie has blackened his image for me. Seeing him snorting drugs, boozing excessively and cavorting naked on the bed with his gay manager was unnecessary. I genuinely felt very sorry for Elton as his life was very sad and in a turmoil. His parents were horrendous to him and just wanted to spend his high earning for their own selfish pleasures - no wonder he went off the rails. I think David Furnish really must have saved him and given him peace of mind at last. I left the cinema feeling overwhelmed and sad that a wonderful talented man had allowed this film to be seen by the public.
