To findout the journey of NGK in politics and how it affects his family life with his wife Geeta (Sai Pallavi) and parents, what is the connection with Vanita (Rakul Preet Singh), enjoy Nanda Gopala Kumar on screen. performances Surya once again attracted with his performance. He came with the right kind of expressions and emotions and attracted with his screen presence. However his character is designed in such a way that even he couldn't power it to the next level. Sai Pallavi in couple of scenes came with cute and lovely expressions but she didnot get much scope to peform and in many scenes she irritated with her over action. Rakul Preet Singh just passed through the motions. Others like Devaraj, Ponannan and Vela Ramamoorthy performed according to their roles which turned out to be routine. Analysis Selva Raghavan who is known for his realistic entertainers decided to connect chords with movie lovers with a message oriented powerful political entertainer. However right from the start to finish he came with routine scenes copy pasting from the earlier films which viewers are used to watch since the 80s till date. The routine dialogues, story, listless screenplay and direction turned out to be the bane of NGK. Lack of real twists and turns along with cheap scenes in the name of comedy tested the patience of the movie lovers. NGK has got nothing to offer for A centres and even B,C centres will find it hard to digest. Overall another disaster for Surya who is fast disappearing from the silver screen. Technical Yuvan Shankar Raja elevated the scenes with his thumping background score. The songs are full of tamil flavor and couple of them acted as speedbrakers. Praveen.K.L's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many drags in the film which tested the patience of the movie lovers. Siva Kumar Vijayan's cinematography beautified the film. Director Selva Raghavan could have added few more twists and turns after working on the script before proceeding ahead. Production values are good. Story Harikrishna (Kalyan Ram) assures his mother Basavatarakam (Vidhya Balan at Adayar Cancer Hospital in 1984 hiding the fact that she was diagnosed with cancer. She asks why he left his dad NTR (Balakrishna) for which he tells that he himself asked her to be by her side. Basavatarakam whose eye sight reduces with each passing second wishes to see NTR's album and goes nostalgic about their journey. she recollects how NTR entered into her life, how he with his frank and straight forward and honest attitude resigned as the registrar at the then Madras Collectorate and how he entered film industry,faced difficulties and became a super star. To findout his film journey, enjoy NTR-Kathanayakudu on silver screen. Performances Natasimha Balakrishna slipped into the role effortlessly. He carried the film on his shoulders with his performances bringing in different variations in expressions and emotions. However he looked aged as young NTR. The makers should have cast someone else, especially Jr NTR for the role for better impact. Balakrishna danced to NTR hit songs with full energy and attracted with his mannersims and antics. Vidya Balan got a limited role but performed well showing her expressions and emotions elevating the scenes with her screen presence. Kalyan Ram looked good as Harikrishna and others too did well their roles. Sumanth played well in the role of his grand father ANR. Though as young ANR didnot resemble ANR,he performed well as old ANR. Hansika looked good as Jaya Prada but others like Shriya,Nitya Menon didnot look perfect in looks of Prabha and Savitri. Praneetha looked good as Krishna Kumari. Krish as KV.Reddy elevated the scenes with his intensitry. Naresh as BA.Subba Rao,Murali Sharma as Aluri Chakrapani, Prakash Raj as Nagi Reddy, Avasarala Srinivaas ad DV.Narasa Raju performed well. Other stars performed well in their special appearances. Analysis Krish who got the golden opportunity to direct the biopic on legendary personality of Telugu people, NTR was also bestowed on the responsibility of elevating him in style on silver screen. Krish drew inspiration from Mahanati and started off in the same vein narrating NTR's journey from the eyes of his better half Basavatarakam. The narration sails off smoothly with NTR resigning his influential government job and heading to Madras to test his luck in films. Entire first half showcases his trials and tribulations and eventual rise to stardom in Tollywood. Second half showcases how NTR gets emotionally touched with the peoples issues after few incidents and developments finally decides to enter politics thus paving way to second part of the biopic Mahanayakudu. The narration goes in a predictable manner singing praises of NTR covering all his negatives and minuses. This reached a stage where after sometime people get bored hearing to NTR praises all the time. This was unlike Mahanati where the makers highlighted even Savitri's minuses. Second half too goes in the similar manner but interest is generated with NTR entering politics. Powerful dialogues penned by Sai Madhav Burra and Balakrishna'e energetic performance and Krish's powerful taking , kept interest in the second part. Krish's story,screenplay and direction is good. One gets a feeling that his hands are tied most of the time as he didnot deviate from any manner. The film is a treat to Nandamuri fans and it has to be seen how multiplex movie lovers receives it as it lacks the emotional quotient. It has nothing for B,C centres. Technical Keeravani elevated the scenes with his powerful background music. Couple of songs are good and most of them are situational. Other songs are the remakes of NTR's yesteryear hits. Editing of Arram Ramakrishna left many drags in the film which slowed the pace. He could have made it even crispy. Cinematography of Ggnanasekhar elevated the scenes taking the film to another level taking movie lovers back to the olden days. Story Das (Vishwaksen Naidu) survived by his mother and daughter resides in Faluknama, Hyderabad. Inspired by a local leader Shankaranna since his childhood, Das forms his own gang with his friends. He switches various jobs like cable TV, mutton business and also lands in trouble with group clashes in Falaknama. His life takes a shocking twist and to find out more about it, its connection with Tina (Prashanthi Charulingah), Sakshi (Saloni Mishra) and Zoya (Harshita Gour), enjoy the film on the screen. Performances Vishwaksen performed well within his limitations. He slipped into the role of a Telangana youngster raised in the lower middle-class family. He attracted with his body language, dialogues, and expressions. He emoted well in key scenes. However, his role turned out to be unidimensional. Uttej attracted with his powerful performance as Pandu in the film. Though at times he became loud, he elevated the film with his performance bringing in the right kind of expressions and emotions. Tarun Bhaskar as SI Saidulu performed well. He showcased his acting skills in this film. Prashanti,Saloni Mishra, Harshita Gaur added glamor to the film. However they didnot get much scope for performance and looked average in looks. Others like Abhinav Gomatam performed according to their roles. Analysis Vishwaksen Naidu who directed the film decided to attract movie lovers with Telangana accent. He chose to remake Malayalam hit Angamalay Diaries. He tried to connect chords showcasing Telangana culture, rustic real life incidents and dialogues to some extent made an impact. Though he got a decent story, he failed with his sluggish narration, lackluster screenplay, and direction. Slow pace of the film didnot help the cause in any manner. The film may workout to some extent in B,C centres thanks to the Telangana flavor in it. Otherwise the film has nothing to talk about except for few powerful dialogues. Technical Vivek Sagar created a good impact with his background music. However, the music and songs didnot make much impact. Couple of songs are tuned to attract masses with foot tapping beats. Vidya Sagar Chinta's Editing left a lot to be desired. There are many scenes in the film which dragged the pace of the film. The cinematography of Girijala Raviteja elevated the scenes beautifying the film. Vishwak Sen should have worked on the script, included few twists and turns for better impact. Story Line RAW Chief Srikant Rai (Jackie Shroff),gets super impressed by Romeo Ali (John Abraham), a teller in a bank by profession and a theatre artist at night, during one of his performances that he decides to use him as a spy. Romeo is given a crash course in spying and despatched to Pakistan and from then on his mission on espionage starts. To findout his experiences, enjoy Romeo Akbar Walter on silver screen. Star Shine John Abraham for all his macho looks and high voltage action scenes, disappoints with his performance. There is nothing to rave about his performance as he comes with wooden expressions and his make up makes it even more difficult to watch and bear him on screen. Mouni Roy who impressed with Akshay Kumar's Gold got the inconsequential role and fails to elevate the scenes with her performance. Jacike Shroff is good as RAW chief. Sikander Kher attracts a bit like a cruel and menacing Pakistani police officer. Alka Amin too comes with good performance but despite their best efforts they fail to save the film. Director's Special Robbie Grewal , the director dreamed of a success ride at the box office stoking the patriotic fervor post-Balakot air strikes etc. However he failed completely with his story,screenplay and direction. He failed completely with his narration as the film lacked even the basic twists and turns and the pace of the film is so pathetic that right from the start to finish, it looked like a lullaby rather than a spy thriller. He went terribly wrong even in dealing with the emotions of the spies while working in the enemy nation under unfavorable conditions. Lackluster story telling, over exaggeration and flawed narration, tested the patience of the movie lovers. Though the director drew inspiration from the real life incidents he failed to generate interest among movie lovers even in one scene turning it into a complete disaster much to the disappointment of the movie lovers. Cinematic liberties, illogical scenes, over exaggeration and over the top dialogues leave the viewers in disgust and distraut. Technical Anikit Tiwari,Sohail Sen,Shabbir Ahmed,Raaj Aashoo's music is just ok. The songs are situational and they didnot make much impact. BGM of Hanif Shaikh is adequate but it could have been better to make powerful impact. Tapan Tushar Basu's cinematography is good and same is the case with it. Production values are good. Final Take Romeo Akbar Walter gives third degree torture.

Story Four little orphans grow like brothers. Youngest of them Ram (Ram Charan) raises elder ones ensuring that they study and reach top position with his hardwork. Eldest brother Bhuvan Kumar (Prashanth) completes IAS and becomes officer in Election Commission. After handling tough by election in Visakhapatnam he gets transferred to Bihar. Even as Ram is living happily with his brothers and sweet family , with himself getting engaged to a beautiful girl Seetha (Kiara Advani), they get a huge shock when unknown,powerful and evil forces attack them from all quarters. To findout the reason and the secret hand behind clear and present danger and what connection it has got with Raja Bhai( Vivek Oberoi),enjoy Vinaya Vidheya Rama on screen. Performances Ram Charan gave out and out mass treat to mega fans and masses after showing his acting prowess in Rangasthalam and Dhruva. He ripped off his shirt to show his six pack abs, delivered powerful dialogues,enacted dare devilry stunts and danced like delight to drive masses and mega fans crazy. However he didnot get even 1% chance to showcase his acting prowess which he showed in his previous films to score hits. Kiara Advani looked good and attracted with her beauty treat and she matched RamCharan with her dance movements. Eesha Gupta sizzled in a special song to give sleepless nights to masses. Prashanth and Sneha attracted with their performances bringing in right kind of expressions and emotions. But sneha at times went overboard. Vivek Oberoi had nothing much to do as an antagonist except sport serious and menacing looks. Others like Aryan Rajesh,Madhunandan,Madhumita,Hema,Mukesh Rishi, Harish Uttaman, Ravi Varma,Himaja,Chalapathi Rao perfomed according to their roles. Analysis Boyapati Srinu came with his trademark rountine out and out mass action entertainer with Ram Charan. Many expected Ram Charan to do something different after Rangasthalam but he surprised all by teaming with mass director like Boyapati. Right from the start to finish,the narration goes on a predictable note with hero going all out to save his family from baddies. Powerful dialogues flow in, blood spills on screen, heads roll down like balls, logics goes for a toss, leaving no scope of entertainment for family viewers. First half ends on a predictable note with stage set for an action packed second half and second half follows with the flash back and ends with routine climax. Boyapati in his quest to take elevating heroism of Ram Charan to never seen before level on Tollywood screen, completely ignored story,screenplay and direction which plays important role in the success of the film. Many are left wondering why Ram Charan did such senseless and illogical film after the sensation he created with Rangasthalam. Inside talk is Ram Charan and mega family didnot have confidence on Rangasthalam and kept Vinaya Vidheya Rama as a backup to show the power of Ram charan's mass power. However they got a shock with Rangasthalam's stunning success and now they are getting Vinaya vidheya Rama shock. Vinaya Vidheya Rama ends up giving immense torture to all sections of movie lovers tough masses may enjoy few scenes and Ram Charan's dances,stunts and dialogues. There's nothing for other sections of movie lovers in Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Technical Devi Sri Prasad's background score turned loud and tested the patience of the viewers. Except for couple of songs, his tunes failed to attract masses. All the songs are well shot but songs placement dragged the pace of the film. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, Bikkina Thammiraju's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many drags in the film which affected the film's tempo. Cinematography of Rishi Punjabi,Arthur Wilson is adequate as they captured the scenic and natural locations in a beautiful manner. Story Cops arrest Venky (Venkatesh) and Varun (Varun Tej) in Europe and senoir cop (Nasser) starts investigating the duo. Venky and Varun share their ordeal with the cop. Performances Venkatesh stole the show with his performance and screen presence. He made a powerful impact with his expressions and emotions and mannerisms. He with his witty dialogues and spontaneous reactions created a terrific impact on movie lovers. Varun Tej complimented him quite well and showed that he too can enact hilarious scenes with ease. However his Telangana slang looked artificial and his role just turned out to be support kick to Venkatesh's vintage characterisation. Tamannaah tempted all with her performance and milky beauty treat on screen. She is in her self with her expressions. Mehreen at times irritated going overboard but she too along with Tamannaah gave ample beauty treat in songs and scenes. Others like Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj,Jhansi,Vennela Kishore,Priyadarshi, Anasuya,Brahmaji,Raghu Babu, Annapurna,Y.Vijaya,Nassar performed according to their roles. Analysis Anil Ravipudi who attracted with comedy in his previous films Pataas and Supreme and to some extent even Raja The Great, came with a routine story but depended on comedy to score a hit. For most of the first half,he emerged successful with many hialrious scenes come one after another and dialogues with Venkatesh's expressions and mannerisms leaves all rolling town with laughter. However with no real story in the film, Anil loses plot in the second half and ends up dragging the narration with unwanted scenes and songs before finally ending the narration with a predicatble climax. His screenplay and direction is just ok but with many hilarious scenes and funny elements and family genre, F2 will attract all sections of movie lovers on Sankranti festival. Technical Devi Sri Prasad music and songs are just ok. Even his background score turned average. Cinematography of Sameer Reddy is beautiful and captured the exotic locations of Europe and other parts in an appealing manner. Editing of Thammiraju could have been far better especially in the second half where many drags are left behind. Anil Ravipudi could have added few more twists and turns for better impact. Production values are good. Others like Satya, Suhasini,Sivaji Raja performed their roles accordingly. Analysis Praneeth Brahmandapally tried to attract genex youngsters with a youthful triangular love story. Though he started off on an interesting narration and also the characterization of Niharika, he failed to continue in the same vein. Within few minutes he starts testing the patience of the movie lovers with the routine story, narration, listless screenplay and illogical direction. With repetitive scenes, lack of commercial elements, outdated comedy scenes, movie lovers get irritated and starts walking out of the theatres. For hours it tests the patience of the viewers with all departments competing with each other to torture movie lovers. The film turns out to be a disaster and utter flop on all fronts. Technical Mark Robbins' music failed to attract movie lovers. The songs are routine and acted as speed breakers. His background score too did not fail to make much impact.Girijala Raviteja's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many drags in the film which tested the patience of the viewers. The cinematography of Hariz Prasad turned out to be average. Director Praneeth should have worked on the story and the script before proceeding ahead with the project. Production values are good. Story Kaali (Rajinikanth) surprises all by joining St Woods Engineering College as a hostel waren with huge influence. He tries to set tight the things in order by bringing discipline among the students and controlling ragging much to the anger of seniors and higher authorites. When he tries to help young students in love, it results in clashes and leads to deadly attack on the hostel. Kaali quickly realises that the deadly attack has wider and even bigger dangerous and ulterior motives. To findout more about the secret behind the deadly attack and what connection Kaali has with powerful politician Singar Singh (Nawazuddin Siddique) in Uttar Pradesh and what role Saroja (Trishaa) and Mangala (Simran) got to play, enjoy Petta on screen. Performances Rajinikanth surprised all with his powerful and energetic performance. He stunned all by showing his power as vintage Rajini of the younger generation. He looked extremely young in his looks and the energy he showed on screen be it his mannerims, dialogues, expressions and emotions made electrifying impression on one and all. His powerful dialogues, stunning dance movements,breathtaking stunts made many wonder whether Rajini is over 60 years or they are watching Rajini of the Baasha and Narasimha. Rajini carried the film on his shoulders as one man army,singing,dancing,romancing,fighting,emoting and what not. Simran too looked young and attracted with her looks and performance. Trisha got very limited role and Mega Akash attracted with her looks. Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddique showed her talent as villain in the limited role he got. Others like Bobby Simha,Yogi Babu performed according to their roles. Analysis Kartik Subbaraj who got the golden opportunity to direct Super Star Rajinikanth made full use of it. For long not only Rajini's fans but movie lovers got disappointed as they didnot get to watch Rajini's star power akin to Baasha,Narasimha and Arunachalam. They dreamed of watching the same in Lingaa,Kabali and Kaala but got extremely disappointed and disheartened. But Karthik Subbaraj fulfilled their dreams showing Rajinikanth in a vintage manner showing his star power on screen. Though he came with a routine and predictable story and narration too has got nothing much to talk about, he made up for all the short comings by elevating the herosim of Rajinikanth to another level, bringing back memories of Baasha,Narasimha and Arunachalam. Rajini danced, romanced, entertained, fought much to the delight of fans driving them crazy. However in the process,Karthik Subbaraj lost the plot as he failed to concentrate on story,screenplay and direction. First half turned average with the narration and scenes bringing back memories of old hits of many of Rajini's and Chiranjeevi's hit films. First half ends on an interesting note and when many expected atleast few twists and turns, they are in for a disappoint. Second half turned even more routine and after a point,Rajini's mannerisms too started irritating movie lovers. Except for Rajini's mannersims which are elevated to the optimum compared to his previous entertainers in the recent past,the film has nothing to rave about. Had Karthik Subbaraj concentrated little bit on story, screenplay and direction, Petta would have turned even more powerful but at present it turned out to be just an average and routine entertainer. Technical Anirudh Ravichander's came with foot tapping tunes for all the songs. All the songs drove masses and fans crazy with Rajini's dances and are shot well. He elevated the scenes with his powerful background score making a lasting impression. Tirru captured the natural and exotic locations in a realistic and beautiful manner using his cinematography experience. He took the film to another level beautifying the film's final output. Editing of Vivek Harshan is ok but could have been better as there are many drags in the film which slowed the pace of the film. Karthik Subbaraj could have added few more twists and turns to create even powerful impact on screen. Production values are good.

Story Dev (Karthi) who loves adventures enjoys life with his friends. His friends forcibly make him send friend's request to Meghana Padmavati (Rakul Preet Singh) and for some reason he falls for her seeing her profile. However Meghana CEO of Dictate Inc thinks differently and both views life differently. Performances Karthi is ok with his looks and worked hard to elevate the scenes with his performance. Rakul Preet Singh is ok with her looks and performance. Others like Ramyakrishna and Prakash Raj didnot get much chance to perform. Vamsi Krishna,Renuka,RJ Vigneshkanth,Amrutha Srinivasan,Karthik passed through the motions. Analysis Rajath Ravishankar on debut came with an interesting plot to highlight the emotions when two persons with divergent views fall in love. Though the line looked interesting with good climax, he failed to develop into a good story with an interesting screenplay and direction. So except for few interesting dialogues, emotional and sentimental scenes between Karthi and Rakul, the story never takes off. With no story, scenes come and go dragging the entire narration in a never ending manner. Rajath Ravishankar failed to come with a solid story, screenplay and failed with his narration and direction thus losing a golden opportunity. In his tryst to highlight the emotions between two lovers, he failed completely with the story and screenplay. He tested the patience of the movie lovers right from the start till the finish. Technical Harris Jayaraj's songs are well shot. They are attractive and foottapping. However some songs placement tested the patience of the viewers. His background score is good and elevated the scenes. Cinematography of Velraj captured the scenic locations in overseas in a beautiful manner. Editing of Anthony L Ruben could have been far better as there are many drags which tested the patience of the movie lovers. Director Rajath Ravishankar should have worked on the story, screenplay and included few twists and turns to make better impact. Production values are good.
