Soul - is transferred from a body, to another body, when a man/woman dies. It is mentioned strongly in the old Hindu Purāṇa; Bhagavad Gītā by - Lord Shrī Krṣṇa. It is said that the soul can be liberated when the person dies only if he/she has had a life full of Puṇya (Good work).
