The first episode was brilliant and I would give it full 5 stars. The second episode was good but a little too long and laboured. Then we come to the last episode. It was at the usual standard I expect from the BBC writers these days. It was convoluted, nonsensical and my brain switched off. If only my TV had. The writers are so up themselves that they spend the whole episode trying to show how clever they are, as usual. Something that never makes good viewing. Thousands spent on a complex and loads people and weaponry to catch and hold Dracula. Who, escaped and murdered but one lawyer and he walks free. And can someone tell me how in hundreds of years why Dracula never managed to spot that the sun didn't burn, hurt or kill him. It was in his mind!! God save us from writers who think they are so much cleverer than the famous authors that they can improve their stories - and cannot. Such a shame the writing let it down as it was a magnificently made production.
