Loved it. Makaii is such a wonderful story teller. I love how masterfully she demonstrated the challenges of #MeToo even while affirming it. It’s absorbing enough to be a great novel to slip into your beach bag. Interesting plot, social commentary and characters. Unreliable narrator. Endearing. With something to say. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I listened on audible. The narration was perfect!

I loved this book. The premise, the characters, the stories, the occasional surprises, the arc, the narratives, a limitless fantasy, the resolutions with some lessons. It had most of the components I love in a book. I’m not giving it five stars only because I feel it was a bit contrived. Not as contrived as one might imagine with the fantasies he employed though. And I found the writing wonderful, though not masterful. Five stars has to be reserved for something! But I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend.
