Acting and casting were terrific (with the exception of the actress in her late 20's cast as a mid-teen?!?) and the story line was intriguing but the writing was not very good. The events all revolve around legal proceedings and they got almost all of that completely wrong. I understand it's fictional drama and there's going to be short cuts but it's just too far fetched, too contrived. As a fan of John Grisham, I've seen repeated examples of how the twists and turns of a good story can be consistent with realistic legal situations, rulings, tactics, etc. I've only seen the first season so far and while I enjoyed it, I just know if they had a good advisor on legal matters and a little extra effort by the writers, it could have been so much better.
