I try not look to at critical pieces / scores until I have watched something and was so surprised to see lower ratings in some places. I agree with all the beautifully-worded reviews below. It is such a treat to be able to enjoy an entire piece of music while watching a film, where it is integral to the story rather than it being somehow in the background. And you can relax, seeing that these actors know how to play instruments and sing. What quality! I find myself really caring about these characters, and I especially hope that all turns out well for Jude. What a poignant episode that was with its highs of natural music-making as well as the lows. I do hope there will be more.
