I was on board with this movie until the scene where Gawain has sex with woman in the castle in the woods (which didn't happen in the poem) and then we see a long vision of what would happen if he didn't let the green knight cut off his head but the movie fails to show that the green knight doesn't cut off Sir Gawains head and instead affirms him of his virtue, courage, and chivalry. Read the poem and don't waste your time!

I'm sorry, I love the hobbit and the lord of the rings movies but the books are a slog to go through. There's so much backstory and songs on every piece of terran and it grinds the story to a halt.

This movie was ugly, disturbing, violent, depressing, grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go...AND I LOVED IT!!! What else can I say but put on a happy face.
