Although there are a lot of tone shifts from The Last Jedi in comparison to the original trilogy, this movie is as Star Wars as can be. It is a fun Character driven extravaganza with action scenes and lots of cool new planets and creature designs. One of the big things I liked in The Last Jedi is that new and interesting things are still happening to the old characters we all know and love. The Last Jedi doesn’t feel like a product of a company like lots of other recent blockbusters, it feels like a directors vision. The style of filmmaking I appreciate especially from something as big as Star Wars. Mark Hamill is as best as he’s ever been as Luke Skywalker. He portrays an old hermit type of character, but not as a retired of Obi Wan or Yoda, but with his own unique spin. The way The Last Jedi concludes gives me no idea on where the next one is going to go, and that’s a good thing. This movie is an underrated as it could be. I feel sad for all the fans who weren’t able to enjoy this picture, because I think this is a lot better than people make it out to be.
