This movie was really something. My soul left my body for a bit—I then journeyed down my cheeks through a waterfall of tears to then rest on the collar of my shirt. It was there that I was met by all the dogs of my youth. We all cuddled for a bit, and then they all looked at me as if to say, “It’s not your time,” before turning to run towards what looked to be the silhouette of the real Hachi. Once I came to, I gathered myself and pet my dog. Thank you, Hachi and Richard Gere!
