Owen’s expressive writing in Mundaca really engaged me – it gave me an insight to culture of the Basque area in Spain, and life in a village community in Franco’s era.
As a surfer-adventurer Owen gives a sensitive insight to life in a fishing town on the Bay of Biscay, and the high energy of the sea and isolated communities there. He describes too, the power and magnetism of the surf break there, and the respect it so deserves.
A great read which absorbed me right to the last page. Well done and thank you Owen Hargreaves.
