The lion King is not a story that is easy to re-cast but Beyonce told the story of a young male coming of age in a beautiful way, aided by a host of powerful African voices; Shata Wale, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Tekno and other US-based rappers. It is a powerful story of coming 'home'. Beyonce sampled dances, costumes and traditional garb of tribes and nations across Africa. I'm in love with this. I need to watch it again and again to understand the imagery.
