Michele Morroneโs character is devilishly handsome, a doting husband, dedicated father, loyal co-worker, the perfect man (his acting is stale and heโs barely audible). He allows his child to pick a super sexy cyborg to help him around the house when his wife is in hospital. Within days, heโs getting jiggy with the AI hired help. Plot wise, if you thought the start was bad, it just gets worse from thereโฆ!!
So much about this movie makes NO sense. It is set in a world where humans have created incredible lifelike cyborgs capable of performing most activities as if they were human. All other technology is peak 2021! The wife has to wait for a heart transplant but we are already 3D printing heart valves. I reckon if we can build cyborg surgeons we can build organs. Theyโre all driving around in โnormalโ cars, yet we already have driverless taxis in San Francisco. There are zero attempts to add tech innovation into this movie apart from the most human-like cyborgs!
Tech aside, best not to question the logic of the movie for e.g. when wifey gets a NEW HEART and the day after she comes home from the hospital is f*cking in the shower! Or why would a cyborg who is built to be a domestic help and learns by doing be so quick to offer a handjob? How and when did she learn about these things?! Why would she try to drown the baby if sheโs programmed to care for children?
The development of AI raises so many interesting questions for the future of humanity. Yet the blokes that made this movie (and the entire exec team are men) created a wet dream about f*cking a sexy robot who then goes bonkers with jealously so that she can keep her perfect man.
I donโt understand people slating Megan Foxโs acting. Sheโs playing a robot and this script makes no sense, given that, she was quite convincing. Little else about this movie is!
