To be honest, the movie did not meet the expectations I had placed upon it, the movie lacked any real emotion from the characters and it downplayed the ingredients needed to bring other characters to their full potential. Firstly, the character of Vittoria, who downplayed into a sideline character that lacked any real impact to the film, the movie could have very well gone on without her and it wouldnโt have made a difference, then thereโs the issue of the casting when it comes to the killer, who in the books had a thick middle eastern accent and was a descendant of the โHassassinโ, but to my bewilderment it was a white, blue eyed male that played this character, the film lacked any real depth, emotion or power for me, itโs almost an insult the novel that it was based off on, itโs a pity that such a great book fell short of the cinematic adventure that it should have been, my advice is to read the book, take notes of the book, vice versa and then compare. Lastly, representation is key and it lacked it greatly, this book, the work of Dan Brown, deserves better than a wannabe action thriller
