Always previously disliked Ricky Gervais, anything he was in and his humour. I now eat my words. He has a brilliance, the way he sees real life and characters and with his laid back dry sense of humour. Afterlife, was brilliant, the acting and storyline, the nod to both comedy and sensitivity, Derek, “What I thought ”,,,an old folks home,!....However, I cried and I laughted. More importantly, Derek shows the real human side of old people, their family and the wonderful carers. Makes you think....
