I am a criminologist who has worked with sex offenders for a number of years and now work with victims of sexual violence and I would give this book 10 stars if I could! Our children need facts and knowledge to have autonomy over their bodies and to protect them, not the silence and shame that sexual violence thrives in.
To all the parents disgusted in this book - keep your knickers on (lol, I’m surprised you ever took them off). Your child is far more likely to be sexually abused by an adult close to them than by a factual book empowering them about consent and normalising human anatomy. Do you think with your view points they are going to feel safe coming to you about strange behaviour by a trusted adult or keep it behind closed doors where you think it belongs?
