What is there not to understand...its a science fiction movie. The young lady was a spirit, that unwritten letters came to, and the end of the movie explained what she did with the letters. Each elderly person had its own stories and sorrows. From the lost of seeing a grandchild and drinking to much, with a husband who loved her no matter what. The older man that was trying to die, was in pain and sad, in the end he left to be with God, after seeing the bird the young lady sent him to bring him back from dementia. The neighborhood is just that, most don't have that kind - because most don't care or know their neighbor's...I do and we sit and talk just like that, and the kids play in the street. That young lady was a gift that goes from town to town helping. Yes, no blood, no nudity...we can watch Freddy Kruger come to life 100 times, but we can't believe just a little of a young lady that changes the life of a small town;) I give it 5 stars, for thinking out the box.
