I used to love this show because of the nostalgia it brings. But the constant yelling and overacting of each family member except the grandfather has become irritating and unbearable for me. It’s like every scene is so tense no matter what the situation is.

The movie was just all over the place. Plotholes and cheesy scenes galore. A lot of the punchlines fall flat. The innocence of the first Coming to America is what made it genuinely funny. This follow up felt like a haphazardly made movie that relied too much on putting a bunch of “big” stars on cameo. It just doesn’t have the charisma of the first movie.

Chastain is a great actress but her action movie skills are comparable to that of a jumping bean.
