The excitement of waiting for the release of the movie was better than watching the movie.
For those who know are well aware of the history of Nagas and their struggles, they are going to feel very disappointed watching the movie, as the movie is not about the aspirations of the people, not about the ongoing peace talks, not about the armed conflicts based on real-life events.
It can't be watched as an action movie, the gunfight scenes are pointless.
It can't be watched as a spy thriller movie, led by an intelligence officer.
It can't be watched as a revolutionary/insurgency movie,
Nor a movie about peace missions.
A "Galho" movie (galho- a popular dish in nagaland cooked with rice and vegetables), meaning here, a mixture of varied things.
The producer/director tried to tell many stories in too less time, and the sequences were messy. If that is their intention, bravo! Well done, for the confusing scenes.
Touch on insurgency, factional wars, peace talks, discrimination, diversity of India, surgical strikes, the idea of India...
Anyway, the actors from the Northeast, (who are not professionals) deserved appreciation for their flawless performance.
Also thanks to the directorial team for choosing North East for the shooting of the movie, for showing beautiful landscapes and the people.
But not for the story.
