I've not been to war, but I've seen my friends and loved ones come back from it. They've seen things we can't even imagine. I've heard stories about the immense boredom. This movie showed that.
I went and saw it a friend who lived that life. He said the realness was cathartic to him. (He's been ht by and IED, so it was incredibly real to him)
The real time of the tanks getting there, the rawness of doing whatever you can to save your brother, the noises and vibration of thhe guns and especially the IED explosion. Those parts were real to me, and the soldier that sat next to me when I watched it, it was even more real to him..
I've never been to war, yet this movie was personal to me. Thank you every single actor who showed the realness and rawness of that day.
Thank you for the real life soldiers, who lived and still live this life today. I can't imagine what they have seen and gone through, or continue to do so. But I greatly appreciate and thank you for your sacrifices.
