I’ve grown up watching LOTR and have read the books, and honestly I really like this!! I was immediately taken aback by its beauty and soundtrack! And not to mention, I LOVE the characters! The Orcs are super SUPER cool. I like the sprightly more horror type aspect of it! It really does do a good job to showing the true evil of the Orcs. The characters are good too! I love the way everyone interacts with one another. Everything with the characters just kinda feels like it fits. Not to mention the diversity is a plus too! This does have a slow start, but most tv shows do anyways. And quite honestly, I can never EVER sit down long enough to watch a show. Yet, I sat through both episodes and couldn’t take my eyes away from the screen :) I really like how the plot is slowly building, and you get to see the evil really seep into the world. The true fear I felt while being in that underground tunnel system was definitely enjoyed. I do recommend this, even if you’re new to the overall LOTR story! It IS different from the original story, but it’s still a hit for me :)
