The books were magnificent and I really enjoyed reading them. When I heared the show was being produced, I was very excited and, obviously, naíve. This is a mockery of what should have been one of the best epic fantasy shows. The only thing it kept from the books is the title (they could have changed that too as to not ridicule the original books and author), everything else is changed and the political, lgbtq and what not other agendas are pushed through in each season and episode. Even that wouldn't be such a problem if the storyline made sense, but even I, who read all the books, lose the meaning of the plot and what is going on in the series. They skip through the storyline and different events and character developments in the book. The characters are shallow and badly written, especially the main charates who are male. They are outshined by female characters and made to look irrelevant. There are 14 books, there are different nations, skin colors and ways of life in each nation and there are strong female AND male characters, both good and bad. By mixing the nations, dialects and everything else they could in the show and creating storilines and relationships that didn't exist or were miniscule in the books like they are doing now only makes it worse. I really hoped for a good show, but this is horrendous at best.
