I was drawn to this movie having visited the western Ontario Mennonites (horse-and-buggy communities) in the 1980s. I would like to have seen a bit more of their life outside the barn and their interactions with the men and boys. The intense, ongoing dialogue amongst the women and girls held my attention throughout. The main actors are brilliant! One query - why does the community navigate using the Southern Cross constellation which is not visible in Canada?
