I wanted to see why this movie got all kinds of awards and at least twice Bill Maher mentioned people should go see it. Not that I agree with everything he says but I do believe he speaks his mind and is objective. I believe the Academy sold out to appear progressive and HBO made Bill say that. I went through the one-star reviews and the majority depict my opinion perfectly. Whew. Thought I was going nuts when I saw all the five star reviews. I really wanted to like it but I felt like it was impossible for me to get emotionally vested in this film on any level. No real storyline and some of the comedy was too bigoted, crude, and juvenile for my taste. Too bad; it's an intriguing concept for a movie.
