The acting was well done, especially by Orson Welles. However, if this is God's word and He instructs us to not change it, we not only miss the deep meanings in the story - we risk the curse for doing so. We take liberties if we think the Bible is man's account of what he thinks God did, but should tremble if we regard the Bible as God's preserved word. Many think lowly of the Bible without honest historical and forensic examination. The Bible has made Believers out of very smart, skilled and learned skeptics. There is much more to the story in this picture.

The movie boldly and clearly illustrates a logical view that can be walked out, namely, to take the claims of Biblical scripture as historical narrative and then be challenged to compare these claims to the natural evidence available to us all in order to look for clues that bear witness to the same. I think the case is overwhelming for a unique, immensely powerful and loving Creator - exactly as personified in the Bible.
