It gets off on making fun of the stereotypical American alot and is woke af, kinda saddened that john took the role. Update. Fair amounts of dumb humor overall, prety cheesy but in the more positive way, with decent action.

After looking at the reviews i came in not expecting much, but after the first few minutes i struggled to look away. I noticed alot of hate being directed at the gore and chanting/ritual scenes for being to over the top or weird but take into account that thats what alot of it would've been like back then and yes I'm sure Hollywood messed some things up but I found my self enthralled in it and is my fav part of the movie. Beautiful cinematography and well exicuted fight scenes. Yes there was scenes were the actors could've had smoother dialog. And the ending was abrupt, should've left it on a different note with him rasing his kids and you could've made a sequel in a few years with him retaking his father's original land. Overall it's a decent movie if your into Norse culture. I would watch again
